Bread & Butter Pudding的食材和调料

6-slices white bread
30g mixed sultanas or 120g blue berrys
300ml milk & 150ml cream3cups milk
3 large eggs
2 tbsp caster sugar
1tsp vanilla essence or vanilla extract
(nutmeg & cinnamon)optional
1 tbsp demerara sugar for topping

Bread & Butter Pudding的做法与步骤

  1. 1.

    Grease a ovenproof dish . Bread: cut the crusts off Butter & marmalade / jam cut diagnoally.

    In the dish: Arrange a layer of bread ( buttered-side up) Sprinkle with raisins/sultanas . Repeat

  3. 3.

    In a bowl: Whisk 3-5eggs& 2tbsp caster sugar (Warm) 300 milk & 150ml cream: 1tsp vanilla essence (nutmeg & cinnamon & alcohol) :stir well

  4. 4.

    Pour the custard over the bread: gently press down--soak for 15mins Sprinkle with 1tbsp Demerara sugar leave for 30 minutes.

  5. 5.

    oven -160-180°C fan forced : 30-40 minutes custard set & top golden-brown. Serve with more custard or ice cream.
